Viktoria & Woods Mosman

The harbourside suburb of Mosman in Sydneys northern shores is home to the Viktoria & Woods concept retail store.  In addition to delivering a wonderful combination of brand ethos and local authenticity, this Australian women’s clothing boutique boasts natural materials as well as  carefully sourced, locally produced furnishings.  Yarra Valley Commercial brought to life the seamless customer journey and brand experience cleverly crafted by the Golden team.

Excited about delivering this new concept retail space, the project team considered the unique ceiling beams would present a challenge.  Designed to ensure the light cascading through the beams could settle with no interference meant meticulous crafting as well as placement.  Additionally, the light was considered and cleverly used in the LED lit blackened steel clothing racks.  Each rack offers a warm washed light beautifully showcasing the garments.   The original herring bone floor complemented the new design,  stripped back and refinished offering a wonderful marriage.  Completing the look, a stunning Nacre Quartzite stone counter and from the Nordic collection of Tunturi, a woven pure felted wool rug from Finland.  Presenting as the most challenging aspect of the project as well as being the project highlight were the complexities offered in the change room area and its ceiling,  establishing the store as a leader in bespoke fashion retail premises.
