This month we share a recently completed sophisticated office fit-out and an exciting retail space transformation…

Office Fit-out

Breese Pitt Dixon have been providing civil engineering, land surveying and estate planning consulting services to the development industry for over 35 years.  Having been in our industry for just as long, we were passionate about delivering an office fit-out that spoke contemporary, experience and high-end quality.

The engineering of the mezzanine floor and the plumbing for the ground floor showers and changeroom areas presented as our biggest challenge.  However, the experienced team ensured these challenges were swiftly overcome.

Yarra Valley Commercial Project Manager John Choureemootoo comments  “It was great to be leading a project where we were exercising our creativity and utilising the wide range of skills and expertise that each member of our team had and were able to contribute.”  For more, click here…

Retail

The last few months have been a flurry of activity with the YVC team hard at work on the L’Occitane store fit-outs.  We’ve been installing at Westfield Doncaster in VIC, Woden Valley in the ACT as well as Kotara in NSW.  All the while, preparing for the install of Australia’s flagship store in Melbourne’s iconic Block Arcade in Collins Street.

YVC project manager, John Lovelock proudly handed the finished Doncaster project over just last week.  This fit-out had two unique features that presented a challenge during installation.  The entire shopfront is illuminated with LED lighting. Given the size and shape it was no easy feat.

However, the result delivers a point of difference to every other shop in the centre.  So much so,  it has fast become a talking point amongst neighbouring retailers.

Aligned with the brand ethos of being unique, the impressive design inside the store was no exception.  Boasting fragrance walls in white gloss tiles, mosaic style and random tile pieces painted in 24 carat gold.  All of this, housed by grand and sweeping archways.  The rainbow shimmer effect from the walls are no less than stunning (even quite magical!)

With no time in-between, John and his team commenced preliminary works at the Collins St site.  Installation begins next week.  An exciting yet challenging project, Australia’s flagship L’Occitane store was conceived by a leading American architect whose keen eye for detail and flair for unique, custom-made pieces will deliver plenty of buzz around this A-grade store.
