We are currently looking for a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to join our Melbourne based team. The successful candidate must have an adequate mix of trade and professional supervisory experience and be someone who thrives on a challenge and can hit the ground running. This role has the support of the Senior Management team providing the right candidate an opportunity to grow with the business.

The successful candidate will have retail fit out experience, with a trade or tertiary qualification relevant to the role, and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Project Management/Shopfitting environment. Strong leadership skills, the ability to multi-task, think laterally with the will and desire to grow and supervise a small team of Yarra Valley Commercial tradesmen and subcontractors are also essential.

Experience and skills required for this role are:

  • Ability to supervise multiple projects simultaneously
  • Deliver projects on time and on budget
  • Achieve tight deadlines for large corporate clients
  • Experience with on-site OH&S
  • Ability to conduct site measures
  • Sound knowledge of sub trades and market rates
  • Ability to establish work schedules
  • Ability to manage suppliers and sub-contracted trades to strict schedules
  • An aptitude to develop, establish and nurture client relationships
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise effectively with key stakeholders, clients, estimators, production managers and staff at all levels
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure environmen

We have an opportunity for a self-driven and motivated Project Co-Ordinator, with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills. The successful candidate will possess great attention to detail and understand the importance of following business process to ensure projects are commenced, supported, and completed in accordance with scheduling.

Working with an experienced and dedicated team you will be exposed to all areas of shop fitting and construction

This role is perfect for someone looking to take the next step in the Construction Industry. Your primary responsibility will be to complete the businesses small client projects, including maintenance works of key clients and with the support of the current team. You will also have good construction knowledge of sub trades and enjoy liaising with clients plus a willingness to learn. This role is for a dynamic individual who will be encouraged to grow their career within the business and will be provided the opportunity to develop into a Project Management role

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Receiving client brief, including plans/ drawings for quoting (if required)
  • Undertaking site audits as necessary, obtaining pricing, and determining a budget or quotation to complete works and obtaining client sign off on scope of works
  • Organising works including:
    • preparation of purchase orders for materials/ services
    • coordination of subcontractors and on-site labour to agreed delivery dates
    • coordinating in house manufacture with the Production Manager
  • Ensuring all critical documentation are maintained on job files and the job costing system is properly updated.

Skills required Skills for this role include:

  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to coordinate several small projects simultaneously
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise effectively with our key clients and maintain our sound relationships with preferred trades
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Good computer knowledge
  • Sound knowledge of sub trades and market rates and ability to read plans
  • Willing to learn from an experienced and dedicated team
