We are currently looking for a highly motivated and experienced Contract Administrator to join our Melbourne based team. The successful candidate must have an adequate mix of trade and professional experience and be someone who thrives on a challenge and can hit the ground running. This role carries the support of the Senior Management team providing the right candidate an opportunity to develop and grow with the business.

The successful candidate will have construction / fit-out experience, with a trade or tertiary qualification relevant to the role and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Contract Administration/fit-out environment. In addition, you will have strong leadership skills and the ability to multi-task and think laterally.  You must also be prepared to assist with the supervision and management of a small team of Yarra Valley Commercial tradesmen and subcontractors.

Experience and skills required for this role are:

  • Ensuring budgeting, scheduling and co-ordination processes run smoothly for projects
  • Negotiate and obtain best prices from sub-contractors and suppliers
  • Ability to manage suppliers and sub-contracted trades to strict schedules
  • Sound knowledge of sub trades and market rates
  • Ability to work across multiple projects simultaneously
  • Deliver projects on time and on budget
  • Experience with on-site OH&S
  • An aptitude to develop, establish and nurture client relationships
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise effectively with key stakeholders, clients, estimators, production managers and staff at all levels
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment

We currently have a great opportunity the right individual to join our established Shop Fitting Company as an Apprentice. We are looking for a 1st Year Apprentice. We are located in the Eastern Suburbs, with a friendly, clean and safe environment. A current drivers licence is required.
