Well known activewear brand Lululemon recently reopened a vibrant and inviting space. This Biasol design was inspired by the premium, technical as well as innovative qualities that the Lululemon brand and product does so well. Creating a space that demanded time, experience as well as a whole lot of patience, the Yarra Valley Commercial team delivered on brief, on time, with an unparalleled attention to detail and no compromise on quality.
Structural steel frames form the base of the contemporary terrazzo archway store entry. Beyond this stunning entrance, lies a vision of custom-made scalloped timber wall cladding, terrazzo furniture features and centrepiece artwork by local artist. The pressure of time and navigating the complexities of the curves and arches in the stonework presented a challenge. As did lining up the scalloped timber profiles (manufactured inhouse at YVC) with the dressing room and doorway arches. Showcasing these unique store features is a sequence of LED track lighting.
From the Project Team
There have been many highlights during the 15-year relationship between Yarra Valley Commercial and Lululemon. However, it’s unanimous that the retail fit-out in Australia’s capital city is hard to beat. Despite the challenges, YVC owner and project manager, Scott Emery admits to Lululemon Canberra being one of his absolute favourites for 2019, maybe even for the decade!
