We are excited to share with you another two of our recently completed projects.  The team at Yarra Valley Commercial have been hard at work delivering impressive commercial and wellness fit-outs.

“Sanctuary” by Sekisui House

In the Commercial space we have been working on  “Sanctuary” by Sekisui House in Homebush, Sydney.  We were both excited and passionate about transforming Sekisui Houses’ new master-planned community showroom into a diverse and impressive Russell & George design.

One of the standout features included a complex series of 1,800 polished shards.  These shards were suspended in a 250 sqm ceiling space.  The panels varied in height and were strategically placed (just to add to the challenge!).  All manufactured from polished European Beechwood, this ceiling space set the tone for the ambience of the finished project.

“This was an exciting project to be leading” states Yarra Valley Commercial Project Manager, Andrew Wickham.   “I was extremely proud of our factory and onsite team’s attention to detail.  It reminded me of how skilled and experienced our team really is.” Andrew adds.

The Sekisui House “Sanctuary” project was delivered on time with the breathtaking WOW factor that this Russell and George design so rightly deserved.  See for yourself

Life Ready Studios Camberwell

There is always a great vibe within the design and install teams when working on a wellness project and the redesign of the Life Ready Physio Studio in Camberwell was no exception.

Whether its regularly hearing the term “Life Ready” or referencing the brief as much as we do, we couldn’t help but feel the ‘zen’.  The impressive project reveal offered peaceful surrounds showcasing clean lines, reflections and timeless open space.

The brief was to convert two separate floors in an old tenancy into one new Gym, Pilates and Physiotherapy Clinic.  With its recent expansion into a national brand, Life Ready Fitness raised the benchmark with this sophisticated Russell and George design.

Key architectural highlights included the large open ceiling feature at the front reception area.  This feature highlighted hanging timber battens and a bronze mirror wall.  The curved walls with timber slats housed the consultation rooms.

One of the biggest challenges was the removal of floor joists on the first-floor level to make way for an open 9 metre high ceiling in the reception area.  The installation of an X-Bond floor to an extremely poor existing sub-floor surface also proved a challenge. However, the experienced Yarra Valley Commercial team nailed it!

Yarra Valley Commerical MD, Scott Emery comments “The team had a couple of big challenges on this project.  However, their collaborative approach with Architect and client meant they were able to overcome them swiftly and effectively”.

“We’re committed to not only the brief but to the business vision of our clients.  The Life Ready vision is to be the benchmark of health and to be more than just an appointment.”  Scott continues “This studio is certainly a benchmark in the wellness industry that we are excited to be associated with.”
