As usual, we’ve been busy on the tools.  As we approach the middle of 2018, it occurred to us that there are a couple of projects we haven’t shared with you.

We’ve been working on a couple of hospitality fit-outs proudly delivering two exquisite spaces that have both received significant accolades. Read on to find out more…

Domaine Chandon

It was a pleasure to be working in our very own Yarra Valley backyard for one of Australia’s most treasured and iconic wineries, Domaine Chandon.  Our team transformed the Domaine Chandon hospitality centre into a stylish hospitality hub.

Working with Foolscap Architect, Adele Winteridge the brief was to “create an atmosphere that was casual, unpretentious and fun, whilst at the same time refined and elegant”.

Yarra Valley Commercial Project Manager, Andrew Wickham says “One of the unique aspects about the refurbishment was the location.   The vision of expansive glass overlooking the vineyard was a pleasure to bring to life.”

Isabelle Chesher from Melbournes Domain publication is one of many to recommend visiting Chandon.  Just as much for its’ design as for its’ wine.   Whilst Channel 9’s Rebecca Judd at Postcards from the Edge also praised the new space, commenting “The fabulous interior plush banquet seating and sleek timber finishings are in an inspiring and seasonal colour palette.”

Ishizuka Restaurant

Additionally,  completed in the Hospitality space was Ishizuka Restaurant.  Yarra Valley Commercial conceived the sublime as well as sophisticated space designed by Russell & George.

Some of the features that brought this contemporary space to life included incorporating the original exposed concrete columns; creating shotcrete walls as well as an interesting mezzanine floorspace.  The high gloss wrap around timber bench tops were a design highlight.  Additionally, the hand-picked marble stone feature wall also impressive.

Both the design and restaurant experience was commented on by Vogue Living “Japanese haute cuisine comes to Melbourne’s Bourke Street – and it’s as stunning as you’d expect”.

Yarra Valley Commerical MD, Scott Emery comments “The team worked tirelessly to the brief. This project was challenging as well as an exciting collaboration.”

Considering unique features of this installation Scott adds “After being in the industry for 30+ years, the stunning pearl shell replica room division at Ishizuka is so far unparalleled in its concept, design as well as purpose.”
