Hungry Jacks, Richmond
Location
The Yarra Valley Commercial team transformed their fourth Hungry Jacks outlet on Melbourne’s Hoddle Street from a once-neglected space into a stylish dining hotspot. Beyond a mere cosmetic change, this ambitious project involved detailed interior overhauls, intricate steelwork, unique cladding, and a 6.5-meter elevation, emphasising significant architectural modifications.
Design
With a vision of spaciousness and integration, the aim was to unite the exterior and interior for an expansive dining atmosphere. Introducing roadside windows illuminated the space, connecting inside to out. External changes included demolishing concrete walls for structural renovations. The exterior showcased client-provided joinery and sleek blades, while the interior was modernised with stone counters, bespoke coffee stations, and contemporary cladding. Additionally, a state-of-the-art drive-through was established, featuring a sturdy concrete base and a modern canopy.
From the Project Team
The significant transformation is a testament to Yarra Valley Commercials dedication to quality, functionality, and design innovation. Onsite Manager Chris Stoppa commented “The end result was the true highlight of this project. Comparing what the space was to what it has become underlines the distance we’ve covered in this project.”
While the bulk of the project was expertly handled by the in-house team, collaboration with a specialised structural steel company was essential for certain aspects.
The project deliverables encompassed demolition, installation and materials.
